travel europe germany berlin sony center
ARCHITECT: HELMUT JAHN (2000)

I first visited the Sony Center site in 1999 when it was under construction.
During my visit in 2009, the center appeared to be a bustling success alive with people, color, and activity.
To my personal taste, the center has some nice details and the grouping of the buildlings create a courtyard that is natural and dynamic focal point for human interaction.
Still, for some reason, I didn't feel the courtyard lived up to its potential.
Seeing it in 2009, it seemed a little more sucessful.
